Deb Steele

My name is Deb Steele and I live in Tualatin OR.  I’ve been a certified PMC artist since 2006 and teach in the Portland area.

My philosophy is to create designs that reflect the things I love, so they will often take you into the garden, to the oceanside or are inspired by travel.   I strive to balance creativity with attention to detail.

We spend a lot of time on the Oregon coast so the piece with picture jasper I submitted to the Metal Clay Today challenge cried out to me of ocean waters, beach grass and a reflecting sunset. I strived to carry the elements of the natural stone into my design with metal clay.

My jewelry is available in a few Oregon galleries and through local art shows.  I feel honored to have work in all 4 of the PMC annuals and The Art & Design of Metal Clay Jewelry calendars.  I am a member of the PMC Guild, SNAG, The Creative Metal Arts Guild (CMAG) and Tualatin Studio Tour, LLC.
